Colorful Christmas decor - a holiday home tour

Over the years we have decorated some of my design client’s homes for the holidays and I look forward to it every season. Honoring the client’s traditions, we try to elevate their holiday decor by adding our magical touch. Every year, we look forward to making homes come alive with the season so you can happily host your family and friends for magical celebrations to make those holiday memories. As we welcome this holiday season and gear up for decking the halls, I thought you might enjoy a peek into my home and some of my client’s homes from holidays over the years. Enjoy browsing and I hope it inspires you. XX - Tippy

A minimal, colorful Christmas table-scape- Pulling colors from the silk drapery stripes and Otomi style painting, I styled this colorful holiday table-scape. It incorporates fresh greenery, bottlebrush trees and these fun striped Anna Spiro candles. Hanging colored glass ball ornaments from the light fixture over the table was the finishing touch.

Colorful Nutcracker Mantle - Here’s a good Trad with a Twist moment. We created these colorfully painted Nutcrackers for this traditional mantle and they were a huge hit on our Instagram page. They were the perfect touch of holiday without taking away from the fabulous Tim Jaeger art. The whimsical artisan stockings and pink poinsettias finished the look.

Colorful Rainbow Ribbon Christmas Tree

Tippy’s Family Tree - Our family tree is a mix of collected and sentimental ornaments over the years. I decided to update it last year by adding colorful satin ribbons, tassel ornaments, a sprinkle of tinsel, gold leaves and matching gift wrap.

Deck those Halls - Stairwells are the perfect place to add seasonal greenery. We draped this beauty with approximately 30 feet of fresh cedar garlands and adorned it with gold satin bows. It was a gorgeous touch of understated elegance.

Traditional Red Christmas Decor - You can never go wrong with red when it comes to traditional Christmas decor. This tree was traditional but with a twist. The client wanted a “Scottie” dog theme. She already had quite the collection of Scottie ornaments but we added this red tartan plaid ribbon and touches of gold to jazz it up! A tartan tree skirt was added after photos were taken. The gallery below is a collection of Christmas decor we have created with reds.

Trad with a Twist - We added some holiday magic to this traditional, southern home by adding new ribbon, garlands and greenery. Using the chinoiserie vases I had sourced for her previously, I added a mix of faux and fresh greenery with red berries for a lush look on the mantle. The added pom-pom garland gives just a fun touch of whimsy.

Colorful, Coastal Christmas Decor

Colorfully Coastal Christmas Decor - Adding palm leaves and a starfish garland to this colorful decor added just a touch of coastal to this Florida home.

I hope you have enjoyed this Colorful Christmas Home Tour. We can’t wait to show you what we have planned for this year! Come and take a peek at my very first Holiday Collection of my own. Each design, carefully curated by me and ready to ship to your door. Tis the season! XX-Tippy
