ABOUT

Finally having the time to pause and reflect on my life, Tippy Taylor the blog was created in a hope that my colorful adventures will inspire others. The nickname Tippy (short for Tiffany) was dubbed by some special littles and I feel it expresses the whimsical side of my life.

Growing up in Alabama, my adventure in design started at a young age. My parents will tell you that I have been decorating and creating elaborate soirees for as long as they can remember.

Attending market with my mom and growing up in her clothing store first sparked my adventure in fashion. In college I explored architecture, teaching, interior design and fashion before graduating from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in Apparel Merchandising, Design and Production.

Instead of heading to New York and starting a fashion career, I took a different adventure when I married my soulmate. He planned to run the family business, so we moved to his hometown and I began exploring ways to use my degree where I was planted. After managing a clothing boutique and teaching business, I decided to start decorating homes for friends and family as a creative outlet. This led to my full time career in design and the opening of a fabric and home furnishings shop that I owned and operated for eight years.

Thirteen years into our marriage and careers, we began the adventure called parenthood. Our dream of starting a family finally came true when we adopted our first child. Six years later we are now a family of four(plus our golden doodle, Georgia-Ruthie) and living out our next adventure as we moved our family to Florida.

My pattern of adventures weaves a look that is southern classic with a colorful touch of whimsy. With a background in interiors, fashion, art and textiles, I am always seeking an artistic approach to life.
