Today’s curated list covers Valentines and Galentines gift ideas! I don’t know about you but my husband and I rarely do anything special for Valentines(He claims it’s a made up Hallmark holiday-insert eye roll. Don’t worry; I still love him.) but I would love a “Galentine’s Day” celebration with my favorite Mom friends.
According to Southern Living, “Valentine’s Day is out, and Galentine’s Day is in.” What is a Galentine’s Day y0u might ask? It’s a special holiday designed to celebrate the women in your life who support and love you. I can’t remember where I first heard the concept but after searching online, I guess we have Leslie Knope from NBC’s Parks and Recreation to thank. “Every February 13, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies. It’s like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus frittatas.” - Leslie Knope. With that in mind, I curated a list of “happies” that any gal-pal or Mom friend would love to be gifted;)
And, because we love to make our kiddos feel special and shower them with gifts (even when Christmas is barely behind us), I also created a list of fun and inexpensive gift ideas for them.
