Deep Steep Hand Soap in Rosemary/mint
My favorite essential oil scent from Deep Steep. It smells so nice and is not a fake smell. It also does not dry out my hands. Bonus: Pretty bottle! I have had the hardest time finding nice Christmas soap this year so I am ordering extra of this one! I use this one year round but it also lends itself to a Christmas theme.
Botanicum - Katie Scott & Kathy Willis
Buy this for a stunning coffee table book. It would make a very nice gift as well. The cover and every page are absolutely gorgeous. The botanical drawings are museum and art quality. I never tire of flipping through the pages. The price is really a steal for what you get. Some of the pages could even be framed. (I have a preview video in my Insta stories)
Tortoise Shell I-Phone Case
I have always loved tortoise shell so this was a no-brainer for me. It has held up great so far and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. I also ordered the pop-socket to match.

One of the most beautiful books I own. I keep it on my coffee table. It is big, heavy and top quality. Not only is it beautiful but the pages feed my love for travel. (I have a short video in my Instagram stories of me flipping through the beautiful pages if you need a preview.)
Simple Modern Insulated Wine Tumbler
I bought the wood grain design and really like it. In fact, I may buy some as Christmas gifts. These are similar to Swig but for half the price. I’m sure there are some quality differences but for $14.99, I was willing to give it a try. So far, it keeps my beverage cold and works great. It does suggest hand washing.
Tefeca Stretch Watch Band
I bought this because I wanted a fabric band and you can’t go wrong with a cheetah pattern. Also, it was half the price of thee Apple brand versions. So far, it has worked well for me. There are different wrist sizes and other patterns available, so pay attention to that when ordering.
Living with Pattern - Rebecca Atwood
I’ll be honest. I was looking for coffee table books and the black and white dotted cover caught my attention. The book is a nice quality with coral page edges so pretty from any angle. I too love mixing colors and pattern into homes, so of course I enjoyed the inside as well.
That’s What She Said- Wise Words from Influential Women - Kimothy Joy
Buy this if you need an empowering gift for a friend. The quotes are powerful and the sketches pretty. I also enjoy sharing it with my daughter. It is not a large book.
Deep Steep Bubble Bath - Rosemary Mint
I love all Deep Steep products. My sister-in-law introduced them to me years ago and I still keep buying them. We both are allergy sensitive and can’t use chemical perfumes so when we found this natural product with essential oils, we were in love. Rosemary - Mint is my favorite! I also use their Grapefruit- Bergamot Sugar Scrub and have loved many different kinds of the hand soap (It is not harsh on the skin and smells lovely).
Revlon One-Step Hot Air Brush
I wish I had this many years ago! So much easier than holding a round brush with one hand and the dryer in the other. Bonus use: Refreshing dirty hair! Just put in some dry shampoo and dry with this; your hair will look like you just fixed it! (Note: It gets very hot so keep it moving. Don’t just leave in one place too long or you could have heat damage.)
Deep Steep Sugar Scrub - Grapefruit / Bergamot
This is an essential oil sugar scrub that smells heavenly. Makes your skin so soft and lasts forever. (Read about my love for all Deep Steep products above under bubble bath.)
Ice Roller for Face Massage
Ya’ll. I thought this would be a gimmicky waste of money but it was only $13.99 so I thought why not. Anyway, I’m here to tell you that it’s worth every penny. Not only does it cool my face after a hot shower or a day in the sun, but I use it on my neck every time I feel a headache coming on. It helps so much! In fact, my family keeps stealing it from the freezer so I will be ordering everybody their own!

The Align bike short is the softest, lightest material and in a high waist. These are perfect for light exercise like yoga or walking. Also comfy for lounging.

Golden Goose Sneakers - Revolve
Yes, they are expensive but they are worth the splurge. Italian leather, hand finished in designer styles and super comfortable. They have a hidden slight lift in the heel which is great for the back and because the interior is leather, socks are not required:). I have the Super-Star style (my birthday present this year) but I am also loving the high-tops. I am wearing on the daily because they go with everything and super easy to slip and go. Still mastering the perfect shoe-string tie though.

Today’s curated list covers Valentines and Galentines gift ideas! I don’t know about you but my husband and I rarely do anything special for Valentines(He claims it’s a made up Hallmark holiday-insert eye roll. Don’t worry; I still love him.) but I would love a “Galentine’s Day” celebration with my favorite Mom friends.
According to Southern Living, “Valentine’s Day is out, and Galentine’s Day is in.” What is a Galentine’s Day y0u might ask? It’s a special holiday designed to celebrate the women in your life who support and love you. I can’t remember where I first heard the concept but after searching online, I guess we have Leslie Knope from NBC’s Parks and Recreation to thank. “Every February 13, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies. It’s like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus frittatas.” - Leslie Knope. With that in mind, I curated a list of “happies” that any gal-pal or Mom friend would love to be gifted;)

I love to shop. From interiors, to fashion, to entertaining and travel; I love to find the perfect piece for any occasion and I love to share my finds with friends like you. That’s where this idea was born.

Today’s tips are all about wellness. For the last year women have carried a heavier load than usual with work from home transitions, remote learning for our children, trying to keep our families healthy and accomplishing birthdays and holiday celebrations in whole new ways. You’ve done well. Now, it’s time to take care of you!
I’m sharing my favorite wellness items to help you refresh. After all, we can’t pour from an empty cup.

LULULEMON WUNDER UNDER HIGH-RISE LEGGINGS - Hands down the best leggings you will ever own. They make everybody look good! I have my first pair from many years ago and they still look good today. Tip: Hang to dry and they will last you forever.
CHERRY BOMB ROLLER - Like a hot stone massage tool that can be used at home. I ordered this because I have chronic back and hip tension. Pop this in the microwave for 1 minute, then let it melt away your deepest tension.
BAREFOOT DREAMS THROW- Wrap up in this cozy cocoon of a blanket when you just need to relax. So excited that it’s now available in animal print!
THE BUCKET LIST- A new travel book to give us hope and dreams of our next adventure.
SEAWEED BATH CO. BODY SCRUB- Scrub off that dull, dry winter skin with this and get glowing again. All natural ingredients. Tip: You can’t go wrong with any product this company makes.

HEATED BLANKET VEST- Ya’ll. It’s a heated blanket that ties around you and stays put. Use it while working from the computer or just at the end of the day to melt away stress. Where has this been all my life?!?
MASSAGE GUN- Put your husband or kids to work with this one. Chiro-grade deep tissue massage at home. Love mine so far! Tip: Bonus that the kids actually love using it on you;)
ON CLOUD STRATUS(Zappos) - Because we all need to move our bodies and these make it easier. I traded in my Hokas for these and I’m loving them. They have way more structure and support than the original On-Cloud leisure sneakers.
EUCALYPTUS SHOWER SPRAY- I bought this in a high-end spa years ago and now we keep it in our shower daily. It opens up your sinuses and your whole bathroom will smell like a spa.
GUMMY VITAMINS- Because we all need to stay healthy. These are my everyday vitamins. “My Kind” is great quality and I love that they are available in a gummy version now.
ON CLOUD 70/30 (Zappos)- For when you need an everyday walking & errand sneaker that is fashionable too. I wear these at least 3-4x/week because they just slip-on and go. Lightweight and comfy too! This is my 3rd pair of this version.
BELT BAG(aka fanny pack)- Give your shoulders a break. You carry enough already. This one matches the sneakers in #13:)
SKIN BETTER ALPHA-RET OVERNIGHT CREAM- Who doesn’t want help with wrinkles? If you need a retinol that does not make your face peel, this is it. I discovered this last year and it is my favorite night cream ever.
AVEDA HAND RELIEF- Soothe those dry hands. Tip: Keep it on your bedside table and slather up before bed for the softest hands. You will also want the travel size for your purse;)
DEEP STEEP BUBBLE BATH- You know my love for all Deep Steep products and this one is a favorite at our house for bath time. The kids kept using it so I got them their own bottle. It is moisturizing and the smell from the essential oils is heavenly.
50 ADVENTURES IN THE 50 STATES- I think we all dream of travel again but if we can’t leave the country, we might as well plan some adventures right here at home. I can’t wait to read this one!
DRY BRUSH- Great for lymphatic drainage, exfoliation and can be energizing. For under $10, give it a try! Tip: You are supposed to start at the extremities and brush toward the heart.
CHAI TEA- Any tea that soothes you and feels like a treat is a good idea but this chai is my current obsession.

J. Crew Factory
Fall 2020 Picks for Mom and the kiddos
So if you have been following along with me, you know I love J.Crew Factory for most of our wardrobe basics. I can always count on them for a good quality pair of jeans, black pants and a blazer. I also love the animal print and tortoise pieces that they offer at such an affordable price. Used as accents to outfits, they are wardrobe staples to me!
We are planning to go to the mountains this fall so I went ahead and ordered a few things earlier than usual. If you are looking for fall wardrobe staples, here are my favorites. AND, if you only buy two things, get the black Gigi pant(think Spanx quality dress pant; thick with a side zipper) and the sweater blazer(makes any outfit look put together and it’s so comfortable)! I’ve bought both of these two years in a row now. (All items are linked below. Simply click the picture and it will take you to the item on their website.)
I also grabbed a few things for my girl. She loves matching when we can so I knew she would love the pearls and animal print:). The cardigan is a great quality and comes in several colors. I bought the black for layering over outfits but I’m thinking I’ll add the navy to wear over her school uniforms. The denim skirt is from Target last year(I’m still looking for a replacement) and these Leopard Gladiator Sandals(Mini Boden / Sale) were too cute not to share with this. She loves them and will be wearing them with everything through the fall! (Note: It’s warm here year round so I love that these look like fall but won’t be too hot.). And finally my boy. I get most of his wardrobe from J. Crew (Crewcuts) every year because it is the perfect fit for him. I always buy a couple pairs of the Skinny Flex-Fit Chinos and a pair of the jeans every year. All of the pants have the adjustable waist inside which means you can buy larger and wear for longer:). He also has two suits from here and they can not be beat for price vs. quality. (Believe me I have looked everywhere and the The Thompson Suit wins every time!) This year I also added a light-weight corduroy pant and two pullovers to the mix for our trip. The blue is a knit is a lightweight knit material and the hunter green is a sweater and I love the zippers on both. ***Shoes are not from J.Crew but I added them to the pics to show outfit ideas. You probably recognize the Boden sneakers(they’re glow in the dark) from my back-to-school post and the Florsheim penny loafers(Zappo’s) are our favorites. They are the quality of an adult shoe with the most comfortable cushioned insole. My little man never complains about wearing them. All items are linked through the individual pictures below.

Crew Factory sizing reference: I wear a size M and 6/8 in most J. Crew. My daughter, age 8, wears a size 10. My son, age 6 and small for his age, wears a 6/7(which still gives him growing room).

We will have completed our first week of school here this afternoon. We started off strong but we are all dragging today and I for one am thankful for a long weekend already. We plan to relax, soak up some family time on the water and reset for next week. Anthropologie - Mama deserves a treat too:) You know Anthro is my favorite go-to and they are offering an extra 40% off all sale items this weekend!!! It’s August. Whether you are returning to the classroom, home-schooling or doing virtual this year; back-to-school time is drawing near. I usually LOVE back-to-school shopping but this year I am having a hard time getting started. I can’t imagine why?
Whether we like it or not, school is starting in the midst of a p———-(dare I say the word). We are all making tough choices about what is best for our kids and our families. Tough choices we’ve never had to make before and it’s weighing on us. I realized recently that the heaviness can carry over to my kiddos if I let it. That’s when I decided to start preparing in an effort to get the kids excited about learning and going back to school. I don’t want to take this tradition from them.
I, for one, have always LOVED back-to-school shopping! I still get giddy over a new pack of markers. There’s something about shopping for those supplies and selecting a new backpack that give me all the nostalgic feels. I want my kids to have that too. So, today I rounded up a collection of all the things inspiring me to get in the b-t-s mood. Yes, I’m a sucker for the classic school colors. Truth: I do not wear make-up every day. One reason is that I honestly hate to get ready but the other reason is that I think it’s good to give our skin time to breathe. Growing up, most make-up looked so fake on me(where were those contour and blender sponges when we needed them?!?!) and always irritated my skin so I got into a habit of not wearing it. I’ll admit though that as I’ve gotten older, I see the need to enhance my face a little. You know, try to bring back that natural dewy glow that I used to take for granted. So I began searching for clean products that made me feel better about my skin. And because I hate getting ready, I have searched for the few products that consistently give me a natural and refreshed look in the least amount of time possible. Beauty Counter, Bobbi Brown and Rodan and Fields are my go-to brands and here are my most used products that give me a refreshed look in five minutes flat:
Rodan & Fields Radiant Defense Perfecting Liquid - My favorite and most used product! I have never liked foundation until I found this. It’s like a BB cream and foundation in one. I use it because it feels like nothing on and because it blurs flaws. Also, it contains SPF so that’s one less thing to worry about. (I use color Sand-3)
2. Beauty Counter Touchup Concealer Pen - I like the brush applicator and because it’s lightweight and no fuss. (I use colors: fair and light)
3. Beauty Counter Color Pinch Cream Blusher - I love how it adds color without drying skin. I use the hibiscus for blush AND lipstick. It is one of the most versatile products I’ve used. I use the caramel color occasionally if I am attempting to contour:)
4. Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick - I’ve tried other eyeshadows and always come back to the cream ones because they do NOT irritate my eyes. I currently am using the Nude Beach color all over and it is a great summer base that seems to go with everything. I am also thinking of trying Vanilla(their bestseller), Malted Pink and Dusty Mauve(I’ll keep you posted:)
5. Beauty Counter Brilliant Brow Gel - It still amazes me what an enhanced brow can do for your face! I love how this naturally defines my brows. It has color and the gel grooms and sets the brow in a natural way. (I use the Medium Brown color)
6. Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick - I have using these for years now. I have never found a bad color and they last forever(like 1-2 years)! It is like a bronzer and a subtle highlighter in one and I use it on the cheekbones and wherever else I need a little pizzazz. I have even used it for eye shadow! The colors always blend perfectly for a dewy bronzy glow. I’m currently loving the Bronze color.
7. Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powder - Pink Glow - I don’t use this one every time like I do the shimmer brick but when I really want to highlight the cheekbones for a special occasion, this is what I use. My makeup feels special when I wear it.
8. Beauty Counter Volumizing Mascara-Black - Everybody knows the value of mascara and how it makes the eyes pop but this is the ONLY one I have found that works AND does not itch my eyes. It’s the only one I wear.
9. Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color - Sazan Nude - I have lots of BB and BC lipsticks because that is the one thing I like to change up often but I recently bought this one and I love it! It gives a barely there look that is not neither matte nor shiny. It has been my everyday color for the summer.

A Father’s Day Gift Guide
